This short story describes the kindness of strangers I have personally experienced during my first trip to Japan in 2010.
This story was one of the many short stories contributed by writers who have lived in Japan, compiled by volunteers and published in the e-book entitled, Write for Tohoku, published in April 2011, whose sales proceeds went to the relief efforts of the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011.
Currently, the kindle version of the e-book is still available for purchase on amazon.
